Sources
- Results and fixtures come from official league and tour data and major live-score services. Every result that settles a bet is checked against a second, independent source.
- Statistics come from official league and tour statistics and established data sites, named on the page.
- Odds are the average of popular bookmakers, UK and European, at the moment a pick is published, from an odds data service. We never quote the best price on the market, and we never name a bookmaker.
- Team news comes from clubs, leagues and the reporters closest to each team. Reports that are not yet confirmed are labelled as unconfirmed, with the first source and the time it appeared.
- Other outlets’ predictions are quoted with the source named and linked, never presented as our own.
Checking
Every number in a text must match a field in our data. Probabilities, break-even points and statistics are calculated from that data, not typed by hand, and an automated check runs before every publication. A piece that fails it is not published. Names, dates and anything time-sensitive are checked against a current source; when two sources disagree, we say so.
News before it is official
We often report team news from local reporters before it reaches the big outlets. That is where the value of our news lies, so the rules are strict: the first source is always named and linked, an unconfirmed report is labelled as one, and when the story moves, confirmed or denied, we update the same article with the date. Health outside sport, private life, criminal allegations and doping are never reported from rumours.
Predictions are locked
The call, the odds and the publish time are fixed at publication. Updates are added to the update log with a timestamp; the original is never edited. Settled results go to the public tracker automatically.
Corrections
If we get a fact wrong, we fix it and add a dated note at the end of the page saying what changed. Write to us through the contact page.
Independence and advertising
No bookmaker or advertiser pays for a prediction or sees it before publication. Advertising is always labelled. Bookmaker advertising is shown only where it is legal for your country.
