About Premier League and how we cover it

The 2026-27 Premier League kicked off on Friday 21 August with Arsenal at home to newly promoted Coventry City and finishes on Sunday 30 May 2027, when all ten final-day matches start at the same time. Twenty clubs play 38 rounds, 380 matches in all. The start came a week later than usual because of the expanded World Cup, which leaves 33 weekend rounds and five midweek rounds.

Fixture load decides a lot of Premier League matches. Clubs in Europe play Thursday or Tuesday and travel again for the weekend, and the festive run from Boxing Day on 26 December through the first week of January packs games into a few days. The midweek rounds on 2 December, 10 February and 3 March bring squad depth into play. Team news, set pieces and how a side copes with a high press tend to matter more than the league table in October.

We do not cover every match. We choose the Premier League games where we have a clear read on the result, write the full analysis and publish one pick with the odds at the time of publication. Every pick goes into our public tracker and is settled on the official result. The record is there for anyone to check, with no promises beyond it.
